My real estate agent was good overall.Unfortunately, she was quarantined and I was temporarily helped by other agents in her office. One specifically kept making sexist comments on why wasn't my "husband" there to approve of the house and "he trusts you with his money" even though I'm the veteran and the loan is under my commitment.

Local customs with realtors in MS were a lot different than in VA. I’d recommend Veterans United require their realtors to conduct a quick run down on what to expect, roles and responsibilities for the local area. Maybe a buyer checklist so the lines of responsibility are clear.Otherwise Lisa was pleasant, got the job done and we closed on time.

The REA assigned made me feel as if I was a nuisance, wasting her time, and was looking to just get paid. The first scheduled meet I met her assistant/co-worker and on the closing day she didn't show to the paperwork signing. On key issuance day, her assistant/co-worker gave me the keys. Also, the last time I physically saw the REA was during the house inspection. As a first time home buyer, I expected the REA experience would have been different. Mainly hearing from other home buyers on their REA experience. Their REA was with them every step of the way and even gave them a home welcoming gift!

My wife provided and did more for our home buying process than the agent. Sharon Reilly failed to obtain important documents in a timely manner that my wife ended up tracking down. Sharon also wasn’t concerned with things the house needed because it wasn’t a “veteran loan requirement.” And she wanted to use “Covid19” as an excuse for everything.

Ruth Goyette was wonderful to work with she really helped me get my dream home on Pontoosuc Lake, she was able to get the sellers to fix roof on the garage, fix board on deck, hand rail to basement and to fix and clean furnace, I actually walked away from home because I extended so they could decide if the wanted to fix the issues and it didn’t seem like they wanted to fix it, I put in letter to terminate contract and the sellers signed within 15 minutes electronically to fix issues. The sellers also put in new septic tank because it was cracked so that also worked out well for me. Thank you Ruth

Ashley Wise was very helpful and went above and beyond to help us find the right house. When we started having disclosure issues with the sellers, she didn't try to push us to continue with the deal just so she wouldn't lose her commission. She represented our position very well and was able to help us come to terms with the sellers.

Great guy, Eli was there when we needed or wanted him; he gives the impression like he cares, a person one would like to be friends with. He explained the simple, and the complicate aspects in the home buying process in this area. Overall, wish there were more like him, in the world. Great guy..Eli.

Ali Applegate (my agent) and James Dodd (Richmond agent) were very attentive and answered all questions I had. Even if there was an issue or something I didn’t understand, they were quick to help. They are both great people and I am glad I had Ali as my agent and glad to have worked with James.
