My experience with my real estate agent was the only negative aspect of my time with Veterans United. Before arriving in Oklahoma City, Veterans United paired me with Benjamin Tubbs, the lead at the VA Home Team in OKC.Initially, Ben made a great first impression during our initial phone call. He asked several questions, such as whether this was our first home purchase, what we were looking for in a house, and what our price range was. After our first phone call, we assumed that he would be our realtor and would show us homes. However, we were subsequently paired with another agent. Once we arrived in OKC, we were reassigned to a female agent. It felt as though we were no longer a priority after our initial conversation with Ben and were being handed off to others, which led to communication issues. There were multiple instances, including the week before closing, when Ben again asked if we were first-time homebuyers. This signaled to me that Ben did not care much about our businessDuring the inspection process, we requested that the seller make certain repairs, which they agreed to. A week before closing, we asked Ben to provide receipts for these repairs. His team sent us documents but with missing invoices for some repairs, despite assuring us that everything was completed. When we inquired about the missing invoices, Ben's team discovered that no licensed professional had completed the repairs. It wasn't until I expressed my concern that they tried to ensure the repairs were done properly. At this point, it became clear that Ben was primarily focused on closing the deal rather than ensuring everything was in order.I raised my concerns about Ben with Veterans United. Shortly after, Ben called me to discuss my dissatisfaction. Instead of listening to my feedback, he attempted to justify each piece of constructive criticism I offered.Additionally, Ben never offered to meet us in person; we never had a face-to-face meeting, even after arriving in OKC. After we closed on the home, Ben did not reach out to check how the closing went or even congratulate us. This was one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had, and it was unexpected given the quality service I had previously received from Veterans United.

Jason is very knowledgeable about what to look for in a good house and provides his honest opinion on the state of the houses we looked at, which we really appreciated. We were purchasing from out of state and had family in the area go look at houses with Jason. He was very accommodating of that, which made the process of an out-of-state purchase way less stressful. There were a few minor miscommunications on the initial inspection timeline, but Jason went out of his way to remedy that in our favor. If Jason implements some processes to tighten up the communication gaps, he would easily be rated 10/10. Very approachable and very knowledgeable about what to look for in a home, which made the first time home buyer experience much less stressful.
