Poor communication throughout the process, required us to initiate or prompt any actions and seek out answers. The timeline was consistently unknown, a major source of stress and frustration when trying to plan around work schedules and life. We had to repeatedly follow up when told" I'll find that out for you" because we wouldn't hear anything back. We didn't feel like we were advocated for, and had to go out the the property ourselves to determine what was actually happening with the listing party and appraisal work; and then questioned when we brought up that the work was not done. Furthermore, even though it was well known( so we thought) that we were closing, and we were told by our realtor that we would be closing/obtaining keys on a certain day, she wasn't "aware or prepared" to meet us and give us the keys to the property. We never saw the realtor again after the first day when we viewed properties. We really expected more when someone makes nearly $20k commission. When working with the military veteran community, communication, trust and proactiveness is crucial and valued... And we felt slighted in these areas, which added to the stress and frustration of the closing process.
