It was a little in the middle. Our realtor agent had a incident happen with her husband passing away and was not in a good position. I really was hoping she had an aid or someone fill in for her. I just feel that her mind was not set on our home but again her husband passed. Also, there were many issues with money being misspoken. She was not aggressive with the selling agent and I honestly think we got played in a way with the selling agent. So I give real props to our agent for trying during this difficult time, just hope that she had more assistance from her company as well.

Overall friendly, but promised updates were sometimes days late. I almost walked away from the deal because of the stress, but he reminded me that he had 15 buyers for every home in my price range, so THAT was uplifting…After I had a complete meltdown, my sister (at one time a realtor in a wonderful, vibrant city) had to take over, and get both agents’ brokers involved. The seller breached the contract, but there seemed to be little concern for the inconvenience, stress, and additional costs incurred as a result. The agent in Illinois who listed my home in Illinois was far more concerned and empathetic for my plight in Greenville.

He was not able to provide explanation in depth to most of my concern.
He likes performing his duties at the last minute.

Eric Sabourin is the BEST. He was the best agent we’ve worked with. Eric took our discussions and found the Best neighborhoods and houses for us to look at. It wasn’t long into the process that he brought us to the home we felt was truly what we wanted. Eric’s office assistant Beth kept all administrative tasks moving forward and was a great help. At no time did Eric make us feel it is all about the sale but more importantly it was about us. He has an in-depth knowledge of the area, market and communes both military and civilian and this made our home buying experience that much better. We definitely plan to work with Eric Sabourin again, we can’t sing his praise enough.

The first real estate agent assigned to me, Ben Jimmerson was constantly late and it took more than 8 hours to get an offer put together and submitted. By the time it was submitted the sellers had already accepted an offer. Veterans United worked with me to find a better fit with Paula Dube. Complete night and day. Paula was always on top of everything. We looked at houses all over the place and she always beat me there with all the info I could think to ask for on hand. It was rough trying to buy a house in this market but she was always calm and optimistic that the right one would come along and when it did we were the first bid in. I can’t recommend her enough.

We LOVED Suebina. She was recommended to us by Veterans United. We sort of had a realtor when Redfin prior to starting the journey with Veterans United and that individual was brash and rude about us not being in state for viewings. Suebina was consistently professional and was willing to help us out while we moved across the country. I can't tell you how many times she traveled to homes and created videos for us. She was extremely thorough, pointing out concerns and making sure we knew what exactly we would be buying. She even gave us a move in present. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for a home.

Enough can not be said about Matthew Lepore, our real estate agent. He was dynamic, attentive, friendly, and thorough. His knowledge of the process and the area, combined with his absolute dedication to helping veterans achieve homeownership, made him the quintessential partner in the field! We looked at homes in a 7 state radius, but struggled to find a realtor that would even call us back. Once VU paired us with Matthew, the search really took shape. Our decision to buy in the location we did was specifically because of Matthew's skill and dedication to his craft.
