I’m 52- and this is my 3rd house- first time alone. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. While I was negligent about the lease to move in… there were outright failures on their side. When signing the contract it was supposed to be an assumable loan- contract said third party financing . I called Jaqueline to clarify- she said it was just to get the contract and then we’d change the loan. I even talked to Ryan about this from the loan team- comparing numbers and he even asked me about it and I told him what she said. In the end - no one knew how long it took for an assumable loan- and the sellers didn’t want to wait the time to make that transition- needing the money to sell for their new house (I guess). Also- when talking to the listing agent he said he immediately asked Christian about the assumable loan and Christian told him I wasn’t interested- according to John Oliveras. Which was completely not true- it was one of the main selling points as the rate would have been 4.5 as opposed to 6 or whatever the current one was . I ended up having to buy down points to 5.75, also making my monthly payments higher than I wanted. A lease was included but since I was buying it I didn’t care too much . Christian assured me home inspection repairs would be made prior to me moving in. We were discussing the assumable loan fiasco the day prior to me moving in! At this point I have movers, plane tickets, rental cars and moving truck all scheduled. In addition to having to get a hotel and no where to stay with 2 large dogs if it all fell through. When I go to move my stuff in on moving day- the electricity is on the fritz - and there is no A/C. I lose my first batch of food. Turns out when the electrician who Christian had hired rewired the neutral on the electrical box- it fried numerous small motors/boxes. Two issues at this point. Lease says no repairs are to be made until after closing. Strike one on me and the realtor. Second issue- fridge motor was blown, oven control mother board fried, sprinkler unit control fried, no doorbell and it took them quite a while to figure out the AC situation. I lost my second batch of food because the fridge worked just enough prior to me filling it with food that I got one batch of ice every twelve to 24 hours. Once filled with food it couldn’t keep up and everything spoiled again . Christian said his guy didn’t touch any of that stuff and doesn’t know what worked before hand . If Christian would read the home inspection - the oven was tested and so was the sprinkler and AC. There is proof of this. At this point I was done arguing and spent an additional 4k on all new appliances. I didn’t have too much contact with them after I moved in and loan was in progress. Loan team and Christian assure me closing could be late Monday or Tuesday. I take Tuesday off- and no closing . 5 pm Tuesday I hear finally that we can close Thursday. Christian and Jaqueline don’t even bother to show. Guess who was there? John Oliveras. Maybe you should recommend him.

Sherika was my real estate agent and I could never have done this without her! She was so patient with me seeing upwards of 3 dozen houses and I never felt rushed. Also checked in with me if I went silent for a while because the process got tough. Amazing at what she does!

I would recommend my realtor to everyone. I know she stays supremely busy but she always made me feel like her only client.
