As a person, my real estate agent was very nice. The agent had a wealth of knowledge for buying homes. However, I didn't feel the agent had experience with dealing with VA loans and the benefits earned by Veterans. On one occasion the agent suggested I go with a conventional loan to avoid some testing requirements expected by the VA. But then I would have lost some VA benefits. I also thought the agent was not as energetic as I was to buy the home. Several things required were delayed to the last minute and cost me an extra week and money for a place to stay until closing because some things should have been actively pursued at least a month in advance. Overall the experience was good, but we had some unnecessary challenges in delayed inspections, communication responsiveness, and just overall excitement for the buyer. I felt it was more about getting paid than earning a paycheck. No offense to the agent. The sellers also had some concerns.

I literally couldn’t say enough good things about Jennifer Modglin. She absolutely nailed it. She’s caring, helpful, has a great system to locate homes for sale, extremely available and willing to go above and beyond. The best real estate agent I could’ve asked for, so happy to have our house but actually a bit sad not to be working with her anymore.

We weren’t confident going in to closing with our realtor. I had to pressure her and the seller’s realtor to provide documentation for work that needed to be done and information about the property history. They were more concerned with closing the deal and moving on. As first time home buyers, buying a home is a big commitment and this is not the experience you want.
