Matthew's efforts/help cannot be described in a paragraph. AMAZING!!!! He gained my trust in looking for my new home while I was overseas. I took the chance without seeing the house to commit in purchasing due to the fact I was still in Japan. Matt definitely met and exceeded my requests for the house I was looking for. Loretta was super friendly and knowledgeable, but lacked when it came to communication and follow-through. We ran into a few issues where trying to get any info out her was difficult, or the information she was giving us was either incorrect or she was “shooting from the hip”— giving us information that wasn’t confirmed (case and point—she said the house cleaners had already been out, I asked her to confirm so she did—they hadn’t been out and were out on the same day that we were trying to start painting. We ran into a stopping point because we needed them to do their job before we could paint. This in itself has set our move-in timeline back a bit).

Ruth Garvey deserves a medal for dealing with my indecisiveness with a smile. From the beginning, she was always extremely patient, polite, and knowledgeable about the metro DC area. It took a little while, but she never showed frustration with my inexperience and was open to answering questions and concerns. I could not have gone through this process without her. As we got closer to closing and I was still hesitant, thinking that something would go wrong, she cheered for me! She's a gem. Thank you so much, Ruth! You and Ray are magic!

Pleasant, friendly and helpful all around. However, real-time communication was difficult at times. Emails and texts went unanswered sometimes for >24 hours. Questions regarding contract paperwork were not answered to satisfaction. Her inadequate knowledge of this geographical area and housing market may have been a factor.
I would definitely hire her again for a purchase that she is more familiar with.

Rod Arrington is a professional, highly knowledgeable and competitive real estate agent. He treats his customer as of his family. All issues and requests as brought up, are taken care of promptly and in order. Even though the market is really not on the side of the buyer, he work really hard to finally land me a deal with an beautiful newly remodeled house at a very fair price.
