My real estate agent was nice however, I didn't see the value since I did all of the work. He only recommended me to a builder (which he gets a commission). He didn't send me any homes, I found the home that I purchased. He claims he negotiated a good deal for me but in reality, the deal that I received was the basic deal that I was offered to everyone buying a home with DR.Horton during the month of February. There was no negotiating. He showed up for my initial walkthrough to meet me but left because DR.Horton stated they wanted to minimize the number of people in the homes due to the virus. However, the builder didn't have an issue with him being there. From the moment he walked in he made the comment that DR.Horton didn't want real estate agents there; the builder did not question his presence so if he wanted to stay, he could have. I understand honoring DR.Horton's wishes, however, it would have been helpful if he provided me with a checklist of things to make sure I looked out for. He only told me to look at every inch of the house but didn't tell me to check things like appliances, lights. etc. The builder was really nice and actually made note of things I missed like light bulbs being blown and checking to make sure the appliances and lights were working. I acknowledge the fact that we are in a weird space due to this pandemic, however, my real estate agent did a lot of gaslighting like saying he negotiated prices and deals like having the builder pay for the closing cost which was already going to happen because of when I purchased the house and chosen lender, not due to any work on his end.

My realestate agent Kristi Roberts did a fantastic job helping me through the process. She worked around my schedule voluntarily. Helped me maximize the most effective use of my time when I drove in out of state to view the homes. Made sure I didn't overlook anything along the way and had my best intrest at heart.
